Florida!

Here is a summary of our trip to Florida:

HEADING SOUTH - GETTING WARMER!

Day 1 (Sat, Feb 19): 11 hour drive to Kokomo, Indiana

Day 2 (Sun, Feb 20): Visited Grandma Sarah (86!) and lots of family at Aunt Mary & Uncle Gary's, the drove to the Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky border.

Day 3 (Mon, Feb 21): Spent the day at the Creation Museum in Kentucky.

Day 4 (Tues, Feb 22): Drove to Macon, Georgia.

Day 5 (Wed, Feb 23): Drove to Titusville, Florida - to Mom & Dad's!

Note: Titusville is on the east coast, near the Kennedy Space Center, about 45 minutes from Orlando.

OUR TIME IN FLORIDA

Day 6: (Thursday, Feb 24) Settled in, etc. In the afternoon, we walked about one block from my parents house to Highway 1 and watched the Space Shuttle Discovery take off for the final time! We were about 6 mile away, across the water, but it was amazingly bright and loud!

Day 7: (Friday, Feb 25) Went driving through Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and saw lots of alligators and other wildlife! Then Uncle Brett took us fishing and each of the kids caught a fish!

Day 8: (Saturday, Feb 26) Went to Cocoa Beach.

Day 9: (Sunday, Feb 27) Went to Jetty Park Beach (the boys insisted on calling it "Jedi Park" : ) )

Day 10: (Monday, Feb 28) Disney World!

Day 11: (Tues, Mar 1) To north of Atlanta, Georgia

Day 12: (Wed, Mar 2) To Bloomington/Normal, Illinois

Day 13: (Thurs, Mar 3) Home!
