Never Mind

I came out this morning ready to make a NEW blog -- a NEW start, something with MEANING. Then I started checking the availability of blog names:

"SoupSandwich" is already taken on the blogspot list. (By someone who wrote exactly one blog post ever... in 1993.)

So is "Soup-Sandwich"

and "SoupSandwiches."

Apparently I'm not the only mess out there. But I am just about as creative with words as I have been in the past. (As in, I've rarely had an original idea!)

That's just as well. After waking up at 4:00 this morning (thankfully NOT from coughing, but partly because of my cold), I couldn't stop thinking of all the things I wanted to WRITE! But then I realized I get into this mood about once a year. Last year I wrote 12 blog posts in December, 18 in January -- and... only 13 since then.

So, as I was getting disappointed with realizing my wonderful idea had been taken, reality set in. How often do I get super excited about doing something creative and then realize I don't have the time, creativity energy, or continued motivation. So it's good that I stopped before I had a SECOND blog I don't do much with!

I'm just going to write drafts for some of my thoughts and see what comes of them. If nothing else, I'll copy them to my journal : )
