I am having a HUGE love/hate relationship with the internet (Facebook, blogs, email, etc.)
I LOVE being able to know what other people are experiencing in their lives. Friends and family who:
- have given up many conveniences and comforts to tell others the good news of Jesus.
- live in dangerous parts of the world where bombings by terrorists are not uncommon.
- live in the hottest places on earth where it is in the 120s F regularly in the summer.
- live normal lives all around the world
- have lost loved ones
- have been in accidents
- have had babies
- live close to me and could use help
And just people I love and want to keep up with!
But I HATE that I can sit for hours reading about all these people, even praying for them, and figuring out ways to help out and bring meals, etc.... and yet not have time for my own kids! What if I invested as much time studying my kids and husband as I spend reading my emails, blogs, and facebook posts? What if I spent that much time reading my Bible and praying? Hmmmm. Pray for me!
