Pumpkins
Our kids were four of about six trick-or-treaters who came through our neighborhood last night! We had two (besides our own kids!), including the teenage neighbor who felt sorry for our kids not having anyone to pass candy out to, so she came down and rang the doorbell :) (She didn't take NEARLY enough candy, though, since I bought two giant bags!)
Sarah was "Barbie and the Nutcracker," Paul was Buzz Lightyear (compliments of cousin Jenna who very reluctantly gave up her costume about 5 years ago in time for Parker and Sarah both to use it, too), Parker was "Super Why" (see http://www.pbs.org/parents/tvprograms/program-superwhy.html) - his costume is made out of 4 brightly colored t-shirts bought at a Salvation Army thrift store and haphazardly sewn together in 2 hours yesterday! Good thing you can't see it close up! Jonah was Moses with his 10 commandments written out by his own hand, put into the cases of two VHS tapes - his outfit was a set of old curtains from another thrift store... didn't even do any sewing, just tied it with a strip cut from them :)
Weldon also got to stay home to pass out candy, and with the lack of trick-or-treaters, he had PLENTY of time to work on his foil costume to get a free burrito from Chipotle... the only problem is that by the time we got there at 8:30 last night, the line was all the way through the store, and another store length OUTSIDE!
Progress
Today Weldon's brother stopped by and helped Weldon get the last of the brick and the stone window ledge on the front of the house:
As far as I know, all it needs now is a couple of coats of paint!
'Puters
Wow... if I see this many more times I'm going to lose it...
It says, "MSN has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
The other crazy thing my computer does is, when I open a new window, it tries to be very helpful... too helpful... and opens window after window after window... and there's no way to stop it except to shut it off on the front of the computer (the "wrong" way).
I'm seriously considering getting a MacIntosh computer -- since there are "no known viruses" for them. I spend HOURS looking for viruses, and if I don't, then I spend MORE hours waiting and then having to shut the computer down in the middle of 5 things I was doing... including paying bills which I now do online.
So, if anyone knows anything about Mac, or has any suggestions on getting one (an old one is completely acceptable!) let me know!!!

Hey Patty!
Did you go to the Roseville Chipotle for free burritos? Marty and I went and waited in line an HOUR for free food (maybe NOT worth it - haha), so no matter what time you got there, it was brutal. I just "rediscovered" your blog on my computer, I had lost the link, so now I'm really excited. :) Love ya!
