Summer Camp!

I finally took the kids to camp this year! My friend Dorothy asked the day before it was supposed to start, "are you sending the kids to camp this year?" I had completely forgotten to even check into it, so when she took her kids the next morning, she asked and they had open spots, so I got the kids up, dressed and fed them, threw together some lunches and swim suits, etc. and headed up to Ham Lake (our local, little, Baptist camp).

It worked out so well... Sarah is only 5, but because we did Kindergarten with her last year, she was still able to go, being ready to go into first grade. (Most people think she's seven, anyway... ) So I got to take all three of the older kids. It was day camp, so I drove two hours each day (half an hour each way, twice a day), but it was so fun for them, and still a good break for me... even though I realized that I was still almost as busy at home with only Paul! I DID get to listen to a fun book on cd during the QUIET half of the drive each day!

Maybe we'll even try it again next year!

I feel like I practically grew up at Ham Lake Camp. Spent so many summers there! And picnics and events...Last summer Henry and Maggie went with my parents church. Loved it!
